Tadalafil Tablets (Generic)
Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor approved by FDA as the third
ED prescription drug pill (after sildenafil
citrate and vardenafil).
It is also approved for the treatment of pulmonary arterial
hypertension, and has been used for other conditions.
Tadalafil is the only one of the three that is offered as
a once-daily medication. It has the nickname "The
Weekend Pill" becouse of its 36-hour effectiveness.
Tadalafil tablets are currently marketed world-wide by Lilly
ICOS under the brand name Cialis®. There are also many
other brand names for the same drug, produced by many other
manufacturers. Generic
tadalafil tablets mostly come from India. The most prescribed
dose of tadalafil tablets is 20 mg. It is also availabe in
other doses such as 5 mg and 10 mg. For patients who are unable
to swallow tablets, there are some new form of this drug available
on the market: tadalafil
oral jelly and tadalafil
softabs.
Compared
with other PDE5 inhibitors, tadalafil tablets offer longer
duration with less side effects, allowing a more relaxed approach.
